Account, plans & billing

Manage your profile, compare Free, Basic, Pro and Business, upgrade, and handle billing.

Everything about your account lives at Account settings — your profile, email, password, plan, billing, and the option to delete your account. This guide walks through each, plus how the plans differ and how upgrading works.

Your account settings

Open Account settings from the dashboard. The Profile card shows your current plan, your username, and whether your email is verified, alongside a quick overview of how many spaces you have and how many are published.

  • Username — this is your URL slug (the @you part of your public link). It's fixed and can't be changed.
  • Email — update the address on your account. We send a confirmation link to the new address; the change takes effect once you click it.
  • Password — change your password after confirming your current one. Changing it signs out all your other devices, and we email you a security alert.
  • Integrations — connect third-party services like Google Calendar. See Google Calendar.
  • Developer tools — manage API tokens for API-flagged link blocks (Pro and above).

Your username can't be edited after sign-up. If you need a different handle, you'd have to create a new account.

Comparing plans

cntct.space has four plans: Free, Basic, Pro and Business. Free and Basic are about design; Pro unlocks growth tools (analytics, lead capture, booking, API); Business is for agencies and teams. Here's how the entitlements line up:

Pricing: Basic is $6/mo (or $60/yr) and Pro is $10/mo (or $100/yr). Annual billing saves about 2 months (~17%). Free is free forever; Business is custom-priced — see the full breakdown on the pricing page.

Every plan gets all 12 block types — the difference is reach and polish, not which blocks you can place. The jump to Pro is where growth features (analytics, leads, booking, API) switch on.

Upgrading

Basic and Pro are self-serve, so you can upgrade in a couple of clicks. Business is sales-assisted — reach out to us to get set up.

  1. Go to the pricing page (or click See plans / Change plan from your Account settings).
  2. Toggle between Monthly and Annual to pick a billing cadence.
  3. Click Upgrade to Basic or Upgrade to Pro on the plan you want.
  4. Complete checkout on the secure Stripe page. You can apply a promo code there if you have one.
  5. You're returned to Account settings with your new plan active.

Upgrades take effect immediately — your spaces get the new features right away. To switch to Business, email hello@cntct.space.

Managing billing & downgrading

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your card details. To change your card, view invoices, switch plans, or cancel, use the Stripe billing portal.

  1. Open Account settings and find the Plan & billing card.
  2. Click Manage billing to open the Stripe customer portal.
  3. From there you can update your payment method, download invoices, change your plan, or cancel your subscription.

When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period. Account settings shows a Cancels on date while a cancellation is pending, or Renews on when your subscription is active.

Downgrading or canceling removes plan-gated features. If you drop below the Pro tier, API access is revoked and any active API tokens are deleted (you'll get an email). If you end up with more spaces than your new plan allows, your dashboard shows an over-limit banner — extra spaces stay until you remove them, but you can't create new ones past the cap.

Deleting your account

Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. It removes your profile and every space you own — there's no recovery.

  1. Open Account settings and scroll to the Danger zone.
  2. Enter your current password to re-authenticate.
  3. Type DELETE (in capitals) into the confirmation field.
  4. Click Delete my account.

There is no undo. Once deleted, your spaces and data are gone for good. If you only want to stop paying, cancel your subscription instead — you can keep a Free account.

Frequently asked

What's the difference between the plans?

Free gives you 1 space, 5 starter themes and basic styling. Basic ($5/mo) unlocks all themes and the full theming panel across 4 spaces. Pro ($8/mo) adds the growth toolkit — analytics, email & lead capture, redirect/highlight links, booking, scheduled publishing and API access — across 10 spaces. Business is for agencies and teams with up to 100 spaces, all integrations and priority support.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Account settings, click Manage billing on the Plan & billing card, and cancel from the Stripe portal. You keep access until the end of your current billing period — Account settings will show a Cancels on date.

Can I change my username?

No. Your username is your public URL slug and is fixed after sign-up. To use a different handle you'd need a new account.

What happens to my spaces if I downgrade?

They aren't deleted. If your space count is over the new plan's limit, your dashboard shows an over-limit banner and you can't create new spaces until you're back under the cap. Pro-only features (analytics, booking, leads, API) turn off, and dropping below Pro revokes your API tokens.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. All payments go through Stripe and we never store your card details. You manage your card and invoices in the Stripe billing portal via Manage billing in Account settings.

Do I save money by paying annually?

Yes — annual billing saves roughly 30%. Basic is $42/yr (vs $5/mo) and Pro is $78/yr (vs $8/mo). Toggle to Annual on the pricing page before checking out.
