Links, socials & content blocks

Every block type you can add to a space and what each one does.

Your space is built from blocks — stackable pieces of content you add, reorder, and edit in the builder. There are 12 block types, and every plan (including Free) can use all of them. Some options inside certain blocks are gated to a paid plan; those are called out below.

Add a block from the Add block picker, drag to reorder, and click a block to expand its settings. For the mechanics of building and reordering, see Building your page. A space can hold up to 50 blocks.

The block types

BlockWhat it's for
ProfileYour avatar, optional cover banner, display name and bio. Usually the first block.
LinkA tappable link button. The workhorse block — supports three card styles, icons, badges and more (see below).
SocialsA row of social-platform icons that link to your profiles.
HeadingA short section title to break up your page.
TextA paragraph of body text.
ImageAn image, optionally wrapped in a link.
EmbedAn embedded YouTube, Spotify or Vimeo player.
ContactEmail, phone and address, with an optional Save contact button (vCard download).
DividerA horizontal line or an empty spacer for breathing room.
FormCollect emails and leads. See Forms & leads.
BookingLet visitors book a meeting. See Booking.
HeroA big campaign or launch banner with a call-to-action button.

A link block needs a Title and a URL (http or https). You can pick an icon from a fixed set, and choose one of three card styles:

  • Compact — icon + title. The classic link button and the default.
  • Thumbnail — a square image plus a one-line description. Falls back to the icon if no image URL is set.
  • Featured — a large, image-forward hero card with the title and description.

Thumbnail and featured styles add a Thumbnail image URL field and a Description (up to 140 characters). You can also add an optional badgeNEW, LIVE, SALE or SOLD OUT — shown in the corner of the card.

Highlight this link and the badge pulse animation are available on Pro. On lower plans the badge still shows, but it won't pulse, and the highlight toggle is locked.

Need a head start? The Add block picker has one-tap link presets. Latest YouTube video is free; Shop my favourites, Book a session and Newsletter signup are Pro. Each prefills a title, icon and card style — you just drop in the URL.

Turn on Available via API to let an external pipeline update a link's URL through the cntct.space API. This toggle is Pro and surfaces the block's id to copy. See API access.

On Pro and up, turn on Use a tracked link for any link. Visitors then click a clean cntct.space link that records the click on our servers — more reliable than in-page tracking (it survives ad-blockers and works with JavaScript off) — before forwarding them to your destination. See Analytics for where these clicks show up.

Socials blocks

A socials block is a row of icon links. Add up to 12 entries; each is a platform plus an http(s) URL. Supported platforms: Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, GitHub, Facebook, Threads, and a generic Website (globe icon).

Embed blocks

Paste a URL and the embed block renders an inline player. Recognized sources:

  • YouTubeyoutube.com/watch?v=… or youtu.be/…
  • Spotifyopen.spotify.com/(track|album|playlist|episode|show)/…
  • Vimeovimeo.com/<id>

If the URL isn't a recognized YouTube, Spotify or Vimeo link, the block falls back to a plain Open link button instead of an embedded player.

Hero blocks

A hero is a full-width banner for a launch or campaign. It takes a heading (up to 120 chars), optional subtext (up to 280), and an optional CTA — a button label and button URL. The button only appears when both label and URL are set.

Pick a background treatment: Gradient (blends the theme accent into the heading colour — the default), Solid (the theme accent), or Image (a photo behind a colour overlay, with a Background image URL field; falls back to the gradient if empty).

Forms & booking

These two blocks have their own setup guides. The Form block collects emails and leads — see Forms & leads. The Booking block lets visitors request a meeting — see Booking. Both require a paid plan: lead capture and booking are Pro features, so their tiles in the Add block picker are locked on Free and Basic.

Scheduling a block

Any block can be scheduled to appear or disappear on a timeline using the clock control in the builder. Set a Show from time, a Hide after time, or both — useful for limited drops or dated announcements. Times are entered in your timezone and stored as UTC.

Block scheduling is available on Pro.

Frequently asked

Can I use every block type on the Free plan?

Yes — all 12 block types are available on every plan, including Free. What's gated is specific options: link highlight and badge pulse, the API toggle, lead-capture forms, booking, and block scheduling are Pro.

How many links can I add?

There's no separate cap on links, but a space holds up to 50 blocks total. A socials block holds up to 12 platform icons.

Why won't my embed play?

Only YouTube, Spotify and Vimeo URLs render as embedded players, and they must match the expected URL shape. Anything else falls back to a plain Open link button.

What's the difference between the three link card styles?

Compact is an icon + title button. Thumbnail adds a square image and a one-line description. Featured is a large image-forward hero card. Thumbnail and featured fall back to the link's icon when no image URL is set.

How do I add my Instagram, TikTok and other profiles?

Add a Socials block and choose a platform and URL for each row (up to 12). Supported platforms are Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, GitHub, Facebook, Threads, plus a generic Website link.

Can I schedule a block to show only during a sale?

Yes, on Pro. Use the clock control on the block to set a Show-from and/or Hide-after time. Times are in your timezone and stored as UTC.
